The Mwenya Tour:
For a full day of cultural activities with a local guide pick-up and drop-off at your hotel in Kampala:
100,000 UgSh p/day p/person
(approx £25, $39 or 30 €)
The Seasoned traveler:
For those confident enough to get to Mpigi independently (we can give you guidance over the phone about which taxi you will need to take)
80,000 UgSh p/day p/person
(approx £19, $31 or 23€)
What do the packages include?
Food
Drink
Staff wages
Transport (including a motorbike trip to the drumming village - helmets provided).
If you are in groups of more than 6, we can provide a group discount.
All staff are paid a fair wage for their time and all profits of Mwenya Tours fund vital healthcare work in the Mpigi district (see 'Projects' for details).
There will be an opportunity to purchase drums from the drumming village and crafts made by local women in Mpigi. There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything, but you may want to bring some extra pocket money in case you wish to pack your suitcase with beautiful crafts!
