Meet the team!

Little John
Little John was a founding member of Mwenya. Him and his family have been crucial in the development of Mwenya's mushroom project. He was chosen to be the Mwenya Tours' guide because he is so enthusiastic and smiley! Being a guide helps him fund his studies at university.

Picture
Sarah
Sarah is a local mushroom farmer and excellent chef! You will be welcomed with open arms in her house for the cooking course. Ever calm and composed, she is the wise mother to all Mwenya members and is always impeccably dressed.

Picture
Harriet
Harriet is one of our beautiful smiley chefs who will help teach you how to cook up Ugandan treats. If you are lucky, you will meet her youngest baby son who she sometimes brings to work. She is regularly heard laughing in Sarah's courtyard and is a fantastic craftswoman.
